Should I be in therapy?


I feel like that is a stupid question, no? Shouldn't everyone be in therapy? At least, that's what I've always been told. I'm trying it out for myself to get an actual answer for that.

The Headspace app offers its own connection to therapists, which I think is very funny, but useful. In fact, as I write this, I'm about to be in a video therapy session, my first real one. The initial meet with the guy last week was... ~interesting~... to say the least. It was mostly just him going through some boilerplate questions, really basic stuff. My hope is that he:

But who knows. That's the problem with opening up to a therapist. I don't know who this guy actually is, or if he even cares about me. He is a complete stranger. He definitely seems nice enough, but time will tell.
