I Paid it Off!


Today was both eventful, and not eventful at the same time. I needed to collect 50,000 bells to pay off my basement and finally unlock the second floor, so I got to fishing and shaking and collecting and selling, as is usual.

So, of course, I wasn't careful, and got stung by a bee with no recourse! The version of Animal Crossing I'm playing does let you shake trees with your net out, but of course I just decided not to.

When I spoke to Kody he was a little bit critical of my new look. Don't forget, Kody, I control the local economy... I have the power to make very bad things happen to you...

After that fiasco, I got back to work. I believe I decimated the local population of pond smelt and sea bass before I finally was able to get enough. A few stray fossils and the Bell Rock certainly helped along the way.

I'm debt-free! I'm still debt-free!

But look at me now. Granted, it was only maybe thirty minutes of actual work, but I did it. Only one more home loan to go before I finally unlock the Golden Statue. When that happens, I might decorate the site to celebrate! It's been a long time coming too, I don't believe I ever naturally paid off the loans. As a kid, I'm almost positive I used Action Replay to cheat my way to the end. I know my surviving town is decimated with trash from Action Replay. I think, as a challenge for myself, after I finish this town, meaning catch all the fish, bugs, fossils, and pay off my debts, I may try to fix up my old town. Of course, that means going in with a save editor, emptying my bank account, resetting my house to square one, and deleting all the trash from the ground. Then I'll go in myself and weed the town, get it set up for a perfect town, and naturally fix it up. It's like a rescue effort! :-)

I also made my first snowman of the year! I had plenty of other opportunities to make one, I just... never did! He wasn't very happy with my construction abilities though.
