Plot synopsis

A """"remake"""" of a legendary RPG, this game takes the Midgar section of the original Final Fantasy VII and streeeeeeeeeeeetches it out into a 30 hour action-RPG.

Review

I was really surprised by just how much I enjoyed this game. It's certainly not without its flaws, mind you, namely the pacing in the middle acts can get pretty bad, but as a whole this is one great adaptation of what the original game was trying to do.

I think my biggest issue with this game is the story. I loved so much about it. The charactization of the main three (Cloud, Tifa, and Barret) was PERFECT. They were exactly as I would have imagined them to be. Plus getting to actually know and care about the other members of AVALANCHE was awesome. What I didn't like so much were the Whispers. I won't get into specifics to avoid spoilers until the Spoiler section, but there were some aspects I didn't quite enjoy.
